Now available from LabelPack, the X-Sticker was described by AM Labels (stand K02) as being “an affordable, entry-level, wipe-on applicator”. The compact footprint meant it offered a streamlined route to applying labels to boxes, cartons and trays, the company added.

Conversely, the Label X JR is a programmable and fully-automatic wipe-on machine, said to be ideal for more demanding applications. It can match conveyor speeds of up to 30m a minute.

Sales and marketing manager Brendon Bass said the show was always a worthwhile investment for the exhibitor. “We are particularly excited to showcase a brand new range of label applicators for the very first time,” he said.

Automated scanning devices demonstrated on the AM Labels stand will include equipment from Zebra Machine Vision Systems. Among the capabilities on show will be Optical Character Recognition (OCR), pattern sorting, automated guidance, line scanning, presence detection and wider quality inspection.

On the print side, AM Labels will feature a preview of the soon-to-be-released Afinia x350 digital roll-to-roll press. According to the company, the A3-width full-colour press boasts an 8-litre CMYK ink capacity and is designed for high-volume label and packaging requirements.

Colour label printers will be on hand from manufacturers such as Epson, Afinia and OKI, alongside RFID equipment, thermal printers, barcode scanners and linerless label printers.
